As usual on a Monday night, I went to fetch little pony (my daughter) back from her phonics class. I noticed the side of her dress is all wet due to the water leakage from her water bottle. Pony joked,"Mum, this water bottle is urinating on my dress."
The very next day, i went to get her a new water bottle. I left it on the dining table, awaiting her return from school. I'm looking forward to see the surprised look on her pretty face.
As usual, pony came home at 6.30pm. She entered the house and saw the water bottle. She shouted,"Mum, is this water bottle for me? Thank You!"
I took the old water bottle and threw it into the dustbin. At this time, pony appeared from my back and made a remark,"Mum, you should wash and keep the old water bottle as a backup. You shouldn't waste money like that or else you'll have no money next time."
"Oh,little pony.."
Looks like, i'm the one getting a "surprise" from her that night.

Blogging
I have been hearing people discuss about blogging so i decided to find out for myself what people write on their blog.
One day, i sat down in front of the computer, trying to create a blog account for myself. I used the Google search engine and was given a list of websites. I decided on blogger.com and have not looked back since. It is user-friendly and i created a blog in just minutes.
Being a young parent myself, i want to update myself so i do not lag behind. These days, young people published their thoughts in their blog. In order to understand them better, as parents, it's not a bad idea to join the "blogger" world.
Blogging is addictive. I'm not able to stop writing after my first post. I encourage all parents to try it - it's really fun and not that difficult. Maybe blogging can even help to bond parents and children together.

Building Positive Self Image
I remember writing a composition about having positive self-image in school.
The teacher thought it was well written and i was made to read out the essay during one of the school assembly. This piece of essay made me famous overnight.
I really think it's important that everyone feels good and confident about oneself. Every individual is different and has their own set of strengths and weaknesses. When met with setbacks, we should look at problems and seek solutions in a positive way.
I remember i have a friend, julie. Julie is a plump girl who is understanding and jovial. Whenever, someone mentioned julie, you will hear them say, "She's so funny and humorous". We should appreciate that each individual is unique and different.
Hey, everyone out there - look at the brighter side of life. Maintain a happy outlook and make the best out of your lives.

Family Time
Very often, parents are busy all day at work thus neglecting the little ones.
With weekends round the corner, I decided to plan a picnic for the family - spend some quality time together.
Pony (a nickname i gave my little girl coz she's born in the year of the horse), is really excited about the picnic. She's already keeping a checklist on the items that she's bringing to the picnic.
We have decided on one of the popular picnic spots in Singapore - East Coast Park.
There are plenty of enjoyable things to do on the beach - take a walk on the beach, build sandcastle, go swimming or just lay down on the beach and enjoy the sea breeze. And not forgetting to bring some snacks and drinks that the whole family enjoys eating.
While penning down these thoughts, I am already looking forward to a great weekend on the beach. This is what i call "enjoying the simple pleasures of life".
Have a great weekend!

Goal
After starting my blog a few days ago, I am addicted to IT. I have been trying ways to improve my blog - hoping to make it more interesting and yet easy to read.
When I was a child, one of my ambitions was to be a writer. By owning a blog made this dream comes true. I am getting all excited to share and exchange thoughts with fellow writers out there.
Revolving all our times around husband and kids bores. We should also reserve space for ourselves - make time to exercise, catch up with our friends, or take up any hobby that we enjoy.
Engaging in a new activity sometimes, brings along new perspectives and enrich our life with new insights.
Remember, a HAPPY mum breeds a HAPPY family.
Cheers to all Great Women!

Self Introduction
I am just one little blessed woman with a great family, a beautiful daughter and an understanding husband.
5 years ago, my husband and I decided to conceive our 1st baby. We had not looked back since. Today, our little princess is our motivation source and the pride of our lives.
I believed many parents will share the same feeling - children bring sunshine into our lives. But of course, patience and understanding are needed to help us cope with challenges that comes along with raising a child.
Here, I would like to invite all parents to share with us the JOYS and DIFFICULITIES of being a parent.
Bare your hearts and flood my blog with ideas and comments.

First Love
I was happily walking along Orchard Road when, suddenly, i saw this familiar looking person walking past me. Just when i was caught thinking in my own world, someone tapped me on my shoulder, "Apple, how are you?".
It was Keith - my first boyfriend. We got to know each other in the secondary school. That year, i was elected as the student counsellor for my class and he was the president of the counsellor's club. We began seeing a lot of each other and eventually fell in love with one another.
Keith is not exactly good looking but he has his own charisma. He has been understanding and sweet to me, giving in to my unreasonable demands most of the times. A year after we started dating, i discovered a BIG secret about him - He's a flirt. He has been seeing other girls behind my back. He even tried to ask my best friend out. He apologised and i agreed to give him another chance.
Soon, we went on to college after our 'O' levels. We began seeing less of each other. The final straw came when someone told me Keith was seen holding hands with another girl. I confronted him and was told i should learn to take things easy. With that, i ended my 2 years relationship with him.
Trying to recover my shock, i managed to say 'hi' and make some conversations with him. Keith is married with 2 kids and he's also doing well in his career. I am happy for him as a friend.
As for me, i no longer feel anything for him. He is just another friend to me. I am happy with my present life with a doting husband and a beautiful child.
Our romance is already a thing of the past - only sweet memories of my first love are left behind.

Writer's Note
I have always fantasied about having a fairy tale romance since i was fifteen.
I have high expectations of my boyfriend - humorous, understanding, romantic guy with good intellect.
Very often, things do not go according to our wishes. Having been through a few relationships has taught me to have realistic expectations. At every stage of our lives, we think differently and have different needs. There are many skills to acquire to cope with the challenges of building a love relationship.
Here, i wish everyone luck in finding "the love of your life".
